£800 raised for the GWCT from portrait proceeds

July 24, 2019

A very generous attendee bid a huge £800 for the commissioned portrait Hannah donated to the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust Scottish Auction 2019. After a discussion it was decided that Hannah should paint both her dogs, Oscar and Lola, so that the paintings can hang side by side. Fun was had choosing a contemporary, silver bevel frame for the hairy duo at Leverton Framers and the framed pieces will be dispatched to Scotland shortly. Thank you Karen for being so generous to the cause.

'They look amazing - thank you! You have captured them perfectly!’ - Karen McKellar

It’s Mother’s Day here in Kenya today, so happy Mother’s Day to all those mums out there. Motherhood is certainly a wild ride, and these two rascals keep me on my toes! They have both watched me paint, taken snoozes in the studio, b
Spring has sprung back home and swallows remain a symbol of all that is good about Spring - hope, joy and rejuvenation ☀️ 🍃. May is my favourite month of the year; spring magic, longer evenings, half term, two bank holidays, my birthday and the retu
I painted this back in April 2019 and have just received an email from Michael. There was much discussion over the background colour but I am pleased we opted for a bit of funk for darling Philomena.

Please keep making us all laugh @fatherwhitehall
