£800 raised for the GWCT from portrait proceeds

July 24, 2019

A very generous attendee bid a huge £800 for the commissioned portrait Hannah donated to the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust Scottish Auction 2019. After a discussion it was decided that Hannah should paint both her dogs, Oscar and Lola, so that the paintings can hang side by side. Fun was had choosing a contemporary, silver bevel frame for the hairy duo at Leverton Framers and the framed pieces will be dispatched to Scotland shortly. Thank you Karen for being so generous to the cause.

We were down in Tsavo so sadly I couldn’t go but it’s a brilliant exhibition, with lots I have dug deep into the archives here for a little selection of a few of my favourite dog commissions.

One collective noun used for swallows is a ‘richness’, which is why I opted for the gold background here for these regal birds. My Richness of Swallows is now framed and ready to hang. Entitled Spring’s Hope Golden swallows, orange ostriches, a turquoise turtle and a new jacket… Here are a few pics from my first show in Kenya, a fun Christmas fair at Peponi kindergarten. I sold some cards and then treated myself to a BEAUTIFUL handmade jacket from Up on the easel at the moment is a large turquoise turtle, inspired by some incredible snorkelling and scuba diving off the Kenyan coast recently. Here are some stills of how it has all come together… as you can see some of my days are more pr
I am chuffed to say that the golden triptych is complete! Hours and hours of brush work have gone into creating these pieces and I will be even more chuffed when I find the right frames.
